About Zhongda
Zhongda Huang is the founder and creative lead of Vincent’s Light Fine Art Studio, where he establishes the artistic direction and structural framework behind each body of work.
Zhongda Huang received formal fine art training through elective courses at UBCO during his undergraduate studies. Now, as a PhD student at UBCO, he continues to refine and develop his artistic language alongside his academic research.
Zhongda brings an analytical discipline to his artistic practice — approaching composition, spatial balance, and visual structure with deliberate clarity.
His artistic foundation began in photography, which shaped his sensitivity to light, atmosphere, and the emotional presence of place. What began as documentation evolved into authorship — not merely capturing landscape, but composing its narrative through structure, balance, and light.
About Yingzhi
Yingzhi Chen has been practicing oil painting since the mid-1990s. He received formal training in fine arts and later continued his studies in traditional oil painting techniques.
For over three decades, he has maintained a consistent studio practice, working primarily in landscape painting. Through expressive impasto and controlled palette-knife construction, he develops surfaces that hold both depth and restraint.
Our Collaboration
Zhongda and Yingzhi share a similar appreciation for color and visual narrative. They are particularly interested in how light, chromatic relationships, and spatial structure work together to support a coherent image.
Each work begins with conceptual direction — shaping subject, composition, tonal atmosphere, and structural balance. Through close exchange and refinement, these foundations evolve in paint, where material presence and controlled brushwork give physical form to the vision.
Through their work, they seek human connections — to landscape, to people, and to the moments that give life its weight and meaning
