about

Vincent’s Light is a fine art studio in Kelowna, BC, founded by artists Zhongda and Yingzhi.

We often think about how much the world shapes us. A lake you keep returning to slowly changes how you see. A small animal asleep beside you can change how a whole day feels. Those are the moments we paint — not to record how something looked, but to keep how it felt.

That is why the paint is thick and the brushwork is left visible. The feeling should have a body, something you can stand in front of.

When a painting goes home with someone, we hope it becomes part of their story too.

Zhongda Huang

“In my work, I seek connections — to people, to the land, and to the moments that give life its weight and meaning.”
— Zhongda

Zhongda Huang is an artist based in Kelowna, BC. For him, painting is a way of turning what he feels into something others can see. He started with photography. Behind the camera, he became interested not only in how a place looked, but in how it felt, and over time that led him to painting. He took undergraduate Fine Art courses at UBC Okanagan and learned much of his technique painting together with Yingzhi, gradually finding his own style. He is currently a PhD student at UBCO.
